Calm days are becoming fewer and further between as the year shifts into winter, so when one comes along I take advantage of it. Make coffee, get out on the water. There is a dreamy haze that surrounds this place that is further accentuated now that the sun is lower in the sky. It is a poignant feeling that truthfully, while beautiful, I find exhausting. It weighs on the reminiscent aspects of the mind and I suppose I don't love dwelling in emotions too long. Nevertheless I set out today to try to capture that feeling and this photograph was the result.
